GST 2.0 rates · from 22 Sept 2025
GST Calculator
Add GST to a price, take it out of an MRP, or work out what rate was charged. List several items at different rates and see CGST, SGST or IGST split for each.
How this works
- Add GST: GST = price × rate ÷ 100. Total = price + GST.
- Remove GST: price before GST = MRP × 100 ÷ (100 + rate). GST = MRP − that price.
- Same state: GST splits equally into CGST and SGST (or UTGST in a union territory). Another state: it's charged as IGST.
- GST 2.0 (from 22 September 2025): the main slabs are 5% and 18%, with 40% for luxury and "sin" goods. The 12% and 28% slabs were removed for almost all items. Special rates such as 0%, 0.25% (rough diamonds) and 3% (gold, silver and jewellery) continue; use "Other %" for any rate not shown.
The price check ignores the old compensation cess, which applied to some 28% items such as cars. Confirm the rate for your exact HSN or SAC code before invoicing.
